Congratulations to Clare Unsworth, one of our Literacy tutors, for successfully completing the recent 5km Race for Life event. This is an annual national women's-only race. The object is to raise money for Cancer Research. Through her tremendous efforts, Clare has raised over £120 for the charity. |

Metrolite Industries Staff awarded certificates
Two of the staff at Metrolite Industries have recently achieved certificates in Literacy through studying with Working Wonders. Tutor Clare Unsworth and manager Tom Milner were pleased to congratulate Glenys Higham and James Worral on their achievement when they were awarded their certificates this month. Glenys and James' achievements are part of Working Wonders' ongoing commitment to helping employees "get on" by improving their skills qualifications while in employment. RaW Story Writing Competition |

Two Working Wonders Learners are winning finalists in the BBC's RaW (Read and Write) Story Writing competition. Their entries were selected from over 2000 stories written by adults across the nation. As well as an individual prize, the winners' stories are published in a collection of the winning entries. The prize includes an all-expenses paid trip to London including an overnight stay and a tour of Broadcasting House in May. As you can imagine, the learners are quite speechless with surprise and anticipation! Well done to the two learners, and their inspiring tutor. |
